Homemade Wavy Washcloth

Wavy Wash Cloth
Hi, I’m Ashley and I’ve been knitting and crocheting for years. Recently I’ve started sharing my love of all things crafty with people. I’ve been asked so much if I give lessons, so here is my first crochet lesson. I hope you enjoy! Please send a picture of the finished product, I’d love to see!
This pattern is for a crochet wash cloth. The waves in the pattern really stand out when done it two colours
Materials Needed
5.0 mm crochet hook
Darning needle
Worsted weight cotton yarn – 50 g
Scissors
Stitches Used
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
dc – double crochet
sts – stitches
The Pattern
Ch 31.
Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in each of the next 2 sts, *hdc in each of the next 3 sts, dc in each of the next 3 sts, hdc in each of the next 3 sts, sc in each of the next 3 sts*. Repeat from * to * until last 3 sts, hdc in next 3 sts, ch 1, turn.
Row 2: *hdc in next 3 sts, sc in next 3 sts, hdc in next 3 sts, dc in next 3 sts*. Repeat from * to * until last 6 sts, hdc in next 3 sts, sc in next 3 sts, ch 1, turn
Row 3: dc in next 3 sts, *hdc in next 3 sts, sc in next 3 sts, hdc in next 3 sts, dc in next 3 sts*. Repeat from * to * until last 3 sts, hdc in next 3 sts, ch 1, turn.
Row 4: *hdc in next 3 sts, dc in next 3 sts, hdc in next 3 sts, sc in next 3 sts*. Repeat from * to * until last 6 sts, hdc in next 3 sts, dc in next 3 sts, ch 1, turn.
Repeat rows 1-4 twice more, for a total of 12 rows, or until desired length.
Work 1 round of sc around the outside, working 3sc in each corner. Fasten off and weave in ends.
If you are feeling adventurous, or just want to show off the wave pattern more, change colours on rows 1 and 3.
