What road is it that is paved with good intentions?  I am chalk full of good intentions… and also exceptionally forgetful.  I originally attempted to purchase red paper plates for this craft.  I saw them in the store, and thought Yessss! But either I forgot to actually buy them, or they are in a really safe place somewhere. At any rate, I was committed, so I actually made a separate trip to another grocery store, and got a package of plain white paper plates.  But really, what wouldn’t you do for a cute ladybug craft?

Instructions

  1. Trace the paper plate onto a sheet of tissue paper. Cut out the circle, and cut down the centre to make wings.
  2. Use the whole punch to punch two holes on the rim of the plate, close together, where you want to attach the antennae.  (See pictures for locations)
  3. Paint the paper plate the colour you want your ladybug to be
  4. Glue the pompoms onto the plate – as seen in the picture.  You can use a lot of creative license here as well 🙂
  5. Attach the googly eyes somewhere near the antennae holes. Again with the creative license
  6. Attach the antennae, and curl the ends
  7. Glue wings onto the edge of the plate
