Thanksgiving is one of those holidays where there always seems to be a little bit of waiting around. Waiting for dinner. Waiting for everyone to arrive. Waiting for the turkey to finish cooking. Waiting for someone to finally decide it’s time for dessert.
Having a few fun Thanksgiving printables ready to go can fill some of that time without adding another complicated activity to the day.
Over the years, I’ve created a collection of Thanksgiving printables, games, crafts and activities here at Nemcsok Farms. Some are great for younger kids, some work with older kids and adults, and some are easy activities the whole family can do together.
Here are some of my favourites.
Free Thanksgiving Scattergories Printable Game
Our Thanksgiving Scattergories printable is an easy game to pull out when you have a mixed group gathered around the dinner table.
The free Thanksgiving printables include four different game cards with simple Thanksgiving-themed categories. Players race to come up with answers for each category, making it a fun activity for older kids and adults without requiring much setup.
It’s also one of those printable games that can get considerably more entertaining depending on how competitive your family is.

Printable Cornucopia Craft for Thanksgiving
The cornucopia has been associated with harvest celebrations for centuries, which makes it a natural fit for Thanksgiving.
Our Horn of Plenty Cornucopia printable template gives kids a starting point for creating their own cornucopia filled with fruit, vegetables and other signs of the harvest season.
It’s an easy Thanksgiving craft that works well at home or in a classroom. Print the template, add crayons, markers or coloured pencils, and let the kids take it from there.

Add a little Thanksgiving fun to the kids’ table with this Happy Thanksgiving Colouring Page Printable.
Featuring a cheerful Thanksgiving turkey surrounded by pumpkins, fall leaves and autumn details, this printable colouring page is an easy activity for Thanksgiving dinner, classroom celebrations, family gatherings or a quiet afternoon at home.
Simply download, print and add crayons, pencil crayons or markers. Or paint, if you’re brave. It’s an easy way to keep little hands ( and big hands!) busy while Thanksgiving dinner is being made.

Printable Thanksgiving Wall Art
Not every printable has to be an activity.
Our “A World Where There Are Octobers” printable wall art features one of my favourite fall quotes. It can be printed and added to your Thanksgiving decorations or simply left up for the entire fall season.
Because really, October deserves more than 31 days.

More Thanksgiving Activities from the Farm
Printables are handy, but sometimes you need something that keeps people occupied for a little longer.
There are several older Thanksgiving and fall projects in the Nemcsok Farms archives worth bringing back out this time of year. Depending on the ages around your table, you can combine printable activities with colouring pages, simple crafts or a Thanksgiving game and have a small collection ready before the big day.
For younger kids, colouring and printable crafts are usually an easy option. Older kids can handle games, puzzles and activities that require a little more critical thinking. And if you’ve got several generations together, choose something everyone can play.
The goal isn’t to turn Thanksgiving into an organized activity schedule. Sometimes you just need something to hand people while you’re trying to finish dinner.
Don’t Forget the Food
Obviously, Thanksgiving around here isn’t going to be entirely about printable activities.
Nemcsok Farms also has a few recipes in the archives that fit rather nicely beside all this holiday fun.
There’s our cranberry sauce, which is a Thanksgiving dinner staple, as well as pumpkin fudge if you want something sweet that isn’t another slice of pumpkin pie.

And if you’re looking through the archives, you’ll also find plenty of other recipes and ideas from the Kitchen Table.
Keep a Few Thanksgiving Printables Ready
One of the nice things about printable activities is that you don’t have to decide exactly how you’re going to use them ahead of time.
Print a few before Thanksgiving Day and keep them handy. They can come out while dinner is cooking, when the kids are getting restless, after everyone has eaten, or when someone decides the family needs something to do besides sit around discussing politics.
They also work well for classroom activities, Thanksgiving parties, rainy days and family get-togethers throughout the fall season.
Some families love a classic game. Some would rather colour. Some want a craft. Some are perfectly happy eating pie.
There is room for all of them.
Fun Thanksgiving Printables, Crafts and Games
Whether you’re looking for free Thanksgiving printables, a printable game, an easy Thanksgiving craft or something simple for the kids to do while the adults get dinner on the table, you don’t need anything elaborate.
Pick a few activities that suit your crowd, print them before the holiday, and you’re done.
And if Scattergories causes an argument at the dinner table, we accept absolutely no responsibility.
